About Our Infant/Toddler Program
California Young Worlds Infant and Toddler rooms are conducive to both learning and growing in an environment that is suggestive of a comforting home with the warm care of our professional staff. We carefully observe and are attentive to the needs of our infants and toddlers, while enriching them with love and support for a foundation of lifetime learning.
We have found that it takes the active cooperation of parents to make school a totally satisfying experience for children. Enthusiasm, encouragement and interest......Children thrive on these, particularly when they are involved in something as new and exciting as school.
Children are cared for in small groups providing opportunities for one-to-one interaction between children and staff. As infants become toddlers, we work to establish foundations for Social Development and the development of language. Children are able to choose from a variety of age-appropriate toys and educational materials. They have ample opportunity to develop small and gross motor skills through planned activities that begin to introduce curriculum areas of art, science, music and movement and dramatic play. Our professional infant and toddler staff strive to involve each child in all care activities to allow the child to become an active participant rather than a passive recipient with the goal of creating independent thinkers and doers.
